The beach is probably the worst place to take a wheelchair-bound patient with a compromised immune system, but Mara will do anything to make her little sister, Lily, happy. As they share their favorite memories, in a dark twist, Mara realizes this beach outing will become a treasured memory as well.
Shot in Staten Island in April 2017, Starring Oona Laurence (Pete’s Dragon, Bad Moms, Beloved) and Meghann Fahy (The Bold Type and Miss Sloane). Tracy Sayre and Caroline Roberts won Global Shorts best screenplay award for 2017. Meghann Fahy won best actress and the film won the award of excellence in the One-Reeler Competition. Lily + Mara premiered at Rhode Island Film Fest in 2018.
